Domain Names
Your domain name is the address people type into their web-browser to access your website. When buying hosting from SolarHost you have 2 domain registration options:
- Order a domain name through us (see below)
- Order a domain via a third party and change the DNS record to connect it to our servers.
If you choose to use a third party (such as 1&1, Godaddy or 123-Reg) you will need to activate DNS redirection, simple instructions for this can be found here.

For Just £6 you can make your registration private. Did you know that your name, email, and phone number are made publically available within the WhoIs database when you register any domain name? Any spammers, solicitors and other prying eyes can find your personal information online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Simply add "Privacy Protection" when you order your domain with us.
